This is the second video in the series from the webAI product team, showing what the webAI app looks like in everyday use.
In the first video, Maya built a team of Personas for her fictional catering company in Austin. Those work well for her own tasks. But a catering business runs on details that change daily, across a team and across clients, and that work doesn't happen alone.
This video introduces Spaces: a shared workspace where Maya's team, their Personas, and their documents come together. (Please note that UI and other features are subject to change.)
Sharing what you know, and what you run
Before Maya can build a Space, she pairs with her team. Pairing creates a direct connection between their machines, so each person can bring their own Personas and documents into a Space without moving any of it somewhere central.
That has a practical consequence worth noticing. When Maya's teammate Jay calls on her Operations Manager Persona, the work runs on Maya's machine and Jay gets back the answer. The Persona stays where it lives. This is the Intelligence Delivery Network doing its job: knowledge and compute shared across a team, without a data center in the middle.
What to watch for
One place where the work lives. Maya's Space holds shared documents, channels for specific topics, and the Personas her team has connected. Jay posts vendor availability in a channel, and it's there for everyone.
Ask Anything. Rather than hunting through channels, Maya can ask the Space a question and get an answer drawn from the connected Personas, the shared documents, and the conversation history. She can see where each answer came from, click into the citations, and turn on web search when a question calls for outside information.
Personas her team can borrow. Jay built a vendor and staffing coordinator. Maya can use it the way Jay built it, without rebuilding it herself.
Clients, not just coworkers. Maya can open a Space with a client, share the documents for their event, and let them interact with Personas shaped around her business and her voice.
A small team ends up working from the same set of facts, with intelligence that everyone contributes to.
